Imposition
If you are looking for less complexity, see PuzzleFlow Organizer, another tool for manual imposition. Want automated imposition with a unified workflow? Learn more about our PuzzleFlow Factory system. For fully automated newspaper imposition / page pairing, see PuzzleFlow WebPairer.
The PuzzleFlow system includes a range of imposition tools allowing manual folding of documents, as well as automatic imposition of repetitive publications. For most applications we suggest manual solutions, which have proved successful in the production of leaflets, books or wrappings. When it comes to repetitive and cyclic productions (e.g. newspapers), automatic imposition appears to be an ideal tool. The automatic machine eliminates operators’ mistakes and provides efficiency incomparable with manual documents folding.
All the imposition applications offered, enable the pages to be framed and their orientation and bleeds to be adjusted. In addition, the imposition module is able to apply the signatures created using Signature Designer, PDF Organizer as well as to carry out an imposition generated in the PJTF or JDF formats.
One of the tools applied for imposition, known as Tiler, appears to be very interesting. It is a tool which divides printers’ spreads into smaller sheets. This module proves extremely useful while producing large-format billboards, or having to tile jobs accidentally submitted as spreads by your customers. What is more, thanks to Tiler, large-format proofs can be printed with the use of small proofers.
TwoSidePreview

TwoSidePreview module verifies both sides of the imposition sheet for proper registration on output media. Both sides are imposed with the predefined transparency factor. The back side is mirrored and rotated depending on the requested workstyle. The module supports Work and Back, Perfecting, Work and Turn, and Work and Tumble workstyles. In addition, Single sided option is provided to verify misregistration for the subsequent pages. Both sides are tagged inside the resultant PDF as distinct layers which for the instant preview of the front or back side without other.
